Kasper the Locksmith ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us or use our website, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Kasper the Locksmith is a sole-trader locksmith business based at 1 Crowswell Court, Felixstowe, IP11 0UZ. We serve Ipswich, Colchester, and Felixstowe and the surrounding Suffolk and Essex areas.

What we collect

When you call us we record your phone number (via our call-tracking provider, see below), your name, your address, and details of the work required. When you email us we keep the message and your reply address. When you visit the website we collect anonymous analytics about your visit (pages viewed, device type, approximate location at city level).

Call tracking and analytics

We use CallTrackingMetrics (CTM) to record which marketing source delivered your call (Google Ads, organic search, direct). CTM stores the calling number, call duration, and a recording of the call for quality and dispute purposes. Recordings are kept for 90 days then deleted.

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic to the website. These services use cookies and may share data with Google in line with their own privacy policies.

We use ClickCease to detect and filter fraudulent clicks on our Google Ads campaigns. ClickCease may set cookies to identify repeat invalid clicks. See ClickCease's privacy policy at clickcease.com/privacy.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 to honour your cookie preferences. When you decline analytics or marketing cookies, our analytics tools enter a modelled-only mode that does not store identifiers about you.

How we use your data

• To deliver the locksmith service you have asked for.
• To send you a quote, invoice, or VAT receipt.
• To contact you about the job (arrival ETA, follow-up).
• To improve our service quality (call quality reviews, complaint handling).
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Job records and invoices are retained for 6 years to meet HMRC record-keeping rules. Call recordings are deleted after 90 days. Website analytics are kept for 26 months in aggregated form.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to our legal retention duties), object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
